4 Vintage Pedrera Model Chairs By Francisco Juan Barba Corsini In The Style Of Pierre Guariche Or Arne Jacobsen, 1950/1960.

Here is a magnificent and very rare series of 4 pedrera model chairs by the spanish designer francisco juan barba corsini.

The pedrera chair which was produced in several colors is therefore part of this famous collection.

Barba corsini considered it an architect’s chair and not a designer’s chair.

It was designed from an arch-shaped paper pattern, inspired by gaudi’s architecture, which when folded forms this chair with unique parabolic curves.

Its seat, lacquered in black, white, red and blue, was designed in fiberglass and resin, which makes the chair both resistant and flexible and therefore very comfortable.

The 4 chairs are in good general condition, with some traces of time relating to their age.

The black lacquered metal legs are in perfect condition, the resin shells are in good condition with some traces (restored) at the backrest, very barely visible.

No stamp on this model but authentication on period photos.
